The Landing - Minnesota River Heritage Park
Bringing Minnesota's History to Life!

Experience life in Minnesota from the 1840s through 1890 with a visit to The Landing, a recreated living history museum nestled along the beautiful Minnesota River Valley near Shakopee. Costumed interpreters and authentic buildings show how 19th-century Minnesotans established their lives on the frontier, farmstead and in villages.

Eagle Creek SignThe 88-acre park is open year-round for groups, weddings and celebrations by reservations. Special events and scheduled programs are offered throughout the year. On "Minnesota Heritage Weekends" in the summer, meet face-to-face with interpreters who portray the people who might have lived in the Minnesota River Valley in the 1800s.

Weekends in December, 19th-century holidays traditions are brought to life through "Folkways of the Holidays". We also offer a wide variety of educational programs year-round.

The Landing (formerly Historic Murphy's Landing) is owned and operated by Three Rivers Park District.
